The Lodge at Pico Bonito

This property is amazing. This was a side trip from Roatan and we thought it was a highlight of our trip. So relaxing and quiet and sooo many things to see. Birds, monkeys, butterflies, other animals and snakes.

Awesome resort a little off the beaten path!<br>Wow! The staff at Pico Bonito were fantastic! I went to Pico Bonito t photograph birds and they put me in contact with two of the very best bird guides you could hope for. I spent 4 full days birding around Pico Bonito and couldn't be happier. The food was great too!

Don't miss an opportunity to visit this magical spot! From arrival to departure, we loved every moment of our time at The Lodge at Pico Bonito. Front desk staff were so welcoming and helpful. Being greeted with flowers and a chilled wash cloth was the best welcome ever! Christian, the GM, checked in with us multiple times to make sure we were comfortable. Many thanks to Mario and Jayson for taking such good care of us at the restaurant/bar. The food was absolutely delicious with each plate reflecting the care that is put into the preparation. The setting is gorgeous and rooms are extremely comfortable and quiet. Multiple species of birds and butterflies are everywhere! We hiked to the swimming spot on the river and had Arlen as our guide. His love for Pico Bonito is evident and he was so helpful with identifying the flora ,and fauna that we encountered, including a group of white-faced monkeys. We also visited the serpentarium and butterfly house with Arlen and learned even more about the diverse plant and animal life of the area. Our only regret is that we were only there for a couple of nights. To remedy that, we're already planning a return trip with a longer stay.

A Wonderful Stay At Pico Bonito Lodge<br><br>We spent a wonderful 7 days at Pico Bonito Lodge, exploring the trails and enjoying the wildlife both on our own and with their knowledgeable on-site guides. All members of the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Christian, the manager was very welcoming and the wait staff were very responsive to our needs.<br><br>The cabins are comfortable and easy to access from the main lodge on well-lit paths. The trails are easy to hike (but steep in places) and take you to beautiful vistas and rivers that provide respite on hot days.<br><br>The restaurant provided excellent food with options for vegetarians. The portions were large and fruit and vegetables very fresh. Hygiene was excellent. We ate all meals on the lovely lodge deck entertained by hummingbirds at feeders and the occasional agouti.<br><br><br>We did not take part in any third-party tours, opting to enjoy the wildlife, facilities and photography opportunities on-site. Should one choose to venture off-site, considerable travel is required (> 2 hours each way).<br><br><br>The lodge provided good value for the money - we highly recommend staying there.

What a great stay in the Honduran Rainforest! The staff was amazing! They took care of everything and the food was great!

Relaxing amazing peaceful<br>IF you are looking for a fancy secluded jungle vibe, this is the place! The staff was friendly, I got a massage with Marta and she was AMAZING!! Very relaxing, made sure the pressure was good and I was very relaxed!<br><br>The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the beds are comfortable, I got great sleep! The hiking trail is great but very challenging. Highly recommend!!
